1.3 PTS Phase I is Over!

It’s been approximately one week since the Public Test of 1.3 has started, and as we head into the holiday weekend we’ll be shutting it down while we go over your feedback and prepare for the next round of updates.

Next week we’ll begin the journey to the Land of The Dead so prepare for the coming tide by resting up because the easy part is over!

We’ll have more news and information about what you’ll be testing soon, your feedback has been invaluable and the Focus Discussions will remain open for your use, but be sure to share your constructive feedback soon before we move on to the next round. Fun, adventure, and new lands await you – and we can’t wait to let you in.

From all of us here at Mythic, thank you, and lets make Phase II even better…WAAAGH!!!

Invader Token Cost Adjustments

As a result of player feedback regarding the recent token cost adjustments to the Invader armor set, we will be making the follow adjustments. (PLEASE NOTE: This change is now live on all North American/Oceanic servers):

  • Existing Invader Crests will be replaced with an item that can convert into TWO normal Invader Crests.

Due to this change, we would suggest that players refrain from
purchasing their Invader armor pieces until this has been implemented.
We will not be able to refund any Invader Crests spent prior to this
fix.

1.3 Public Test Has Begun!

WAAAGH!!!

Welcome
to the first stage of the 1.3 Public Test! It’s an exciting time for
WAR and this patch is massive. We’re going to need your help more than
ever to dive into every nook and cranny and leave no rock unturned as
we get 1.3 ship-shape and ready for prime time!

This
first segment will focus on the Combat & Careers changes we have in
store, while some careers are impacted more than other there are a
number of changes that impact everyone and its very important we get
your experience from playing and testing them in a live environment
with other players.

In
addition to the C&C changes the mechanic for gathering resources
and unlocking the Tomb Kings zones will also be in place, while we’re
not taking focus feedback on it at this time we’ll have a bug forum
available and encourage you to discuss your experiences in the General
Feedback forum until its time to actually test it out.

Please
note that The Land of the Dead is not currently available and while you
can unlock it you won’t be able to travel there during this segment. We
know many of you are excited to check out all of the new content and it
will come soon enough, for now enjoy part one and we can’t wait to work
with you and read your feedback!

Below you will find the Highlights, for information on how to access the Public Test server see this thread.

From there you can also find the PTS Forums or visit warhammeronline.com/forums and click on “Test Center”

Have fun!

Winds of Change on Dark Crag

Winds of Change

In our efforts to improve server stability and performance in Open Realm vs. Realm combat, the players of Dark Crag will have the opportunity to participate in a live test of a new system called “Winds of Change.”

The goal of this system is to ensure the best Open Realm vs. Realm  experience for as many people as possible and to prevent server crashes. Overall, this system will only take effect in the most extreme server
load situations, and will only happen as a last measure before the zone
would actually crash.

In order to accomplish this goal “The Winds of Change” will now teleport a small number of players in Realm vs. Realm lakes to the closest “safe point” when crowds are large enough to threaten the stability of the server. This will generally be the nearest Warcamp, however, it may also be a Chapter Hub within the zone depending on where performance is being impacted the most.

The system will first warn players that the Winds of Change are coming. If performance in the impacted area does not improve the system will select first those who are currently dead on the ground to be moved followed by those who are severely wounded. Those selected will receive a message explaining that they have been moved. We realize this change is inconveniencing to those impacted, and anticipate that this system is temporary while we continue to improve overall stability.

Please note that if you are ported but eligible for contribution rewards such as loot bags or medallions, you will still have an opportunity to win and retrieve them if you were ported during the assault on a Keep or Fortress.

We look forward to your feedback during this test and encourage those on Dark Crag to post here once they’ve had an opportunity to experience the new system.

Thank you for your continued support.
