Testing time is once again upon us!

The Public Test Server (Warpstone) is now open, and with it comes two developer lead events. Be amongst the first to experience the revamped City Invasion PQ’s and the redesigned Keeps in what is an exciting list of Realm vs. Realm changes!

Join the Mythic Dev Team tomorrow night, 8/7/2009, as the armies of Order storm the gates of The Inevitable City. Join us as we test the new City Invasion experience that is promising to put the fight back into City RvR.

The following night, Saturday 8/8/2009, will see the armies of Destruction striking back at the home of the forces of Order as they bring the WAR to Altdorf.

So be sure to check out how to access the Public Test Server and join in on the excitement. Also, don’t forget to participate in the 1.3.1 Focus Discussion on the official forums starting tomorrow!

Don’t have a Rank 40 Character? Not to worry as we will be providing character templates for this City testing only. Simply create a new character and select the template in the top right corner or the character creation screen prior to hitting “Create”. Please note, these templates will be made available prior to tomorrow evenings testing. So come and support your realm and see all of the exciting new City Invasion changes!

KNOWN ISSUE FOR 1.3.1 PUBLIC TEST:

• Warbands/Grouping UI – Players may occasionally appear offline in the Warband or Party UI. This is a known issue that we are currently investigating a fix for.
• Monster NPC’s may warp randomly when entering the flee state or tethering.

Another round of our Free Character Transfers starts tomorrow! Players of the following servers will be able to login to the Mythic Account Center and begin transfer of their characters starting tomorrow, July 14th 2009. Please be sure to read all instructions carefully! There are cases where you may lose items if you do not properly prepare your character for transfer. This also applies to the Guild Transfer functionality.

Free Character Transfer FAQ

Q: Why did my Character Transfer not go through when the website said my Character Transfer Request was complete?

A: Please check the Transfer Status and click on “More Info” for an explanation. This may be due to the following reasons:

    * The character was logged on at the same time the service attempted a transfer.
    * You already have a character of an opposing realm on the destination server. If this is the case you will have to delete your character of the opposing realm on the destination server in order to complete the character transfer. (PLEASE READ BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THIS.
    * Your character may have a duplicate name as another character on the destination server.

Q: I did not get prompted to fill in a new name for my character, but the website says it failed due to the name already in use.

A: Players must log in their character on the Destination server in order for the name to be updated, so it may be another player has moved a character with the same name over, but has not yet logged into that character on the new server.

Q: Some of my characters aren’t showing up as an option to Transfer but I know they are on the server.

A: This may be because the character has not been logged on for a very long time. Please physically log the character into the game, and then try your transfer again.

Q: How will I know when my character transfer is complete?

A: You can either view your Transfer Status on the Account Management website https://accounts.eamythic.com/ or you may wait for an email confirmation. An email will be sent to the address provided  in your account center to provide the status of your transfer automatically.

UPDATE 5:00 PM EDT – If you have Realm conflicts on the destination servers please read the following:

Players who have Realm conflicts on the destination servers of Gorfang, Volkmar and Badlands now have the following option:

 For
characters of Rank 11 and higher, you may file an in-game appeal on
your characters on the destination server. Please use the Character Issues
category when filing this appeal. For characters Rank 10 and below,
please use the Preexisting Character transfer option  already available
to you in the Mythic Account Center.

 
Players wishing to transfer characters off of the source servers should file the appeal using the following format (IMPORTANT: IF YOU DO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING FORMAT EXACTLY YOUR REQUEST WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS):

1.       Verify that the email address in the Mythic Account Center is your current valid email address.

2.       Please file an in-game (Character Issues) appeal using exactly the following format:

 
Character
Transfer Conflict. I have <ORDER/DESTRUCTION> characters on
<SOURCE SERVER NAME>, and <ORDER/DESTRUCTION characters on
<DESTINATION SERVER NAME>. Please move my <DESTINATION SERVER
NAME> characters to <GORFANG/VOLKMAR/BADLANDS>. Thank you!

So for example, a sample request would look like the following:

 
Character
Transfer Conflict. I have Order characters on Magnus, and Destruction
characters on Badlands. Please move my Badlands characters to Volkmar.
Thank you!

 Please allow for at least one calendar week for
your request to be completed as this is a very intensive process. You
will be notified via your valid email address once your request has
been completed.

To celebrate the culmination of CALL TO ARMS, the first live expansion for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Mythic Entertainment is hosting a community event like no other.

Beginning in late-June, WAR
players will be able to venture into the ancient desert kingdom of the
Tomb Kings to explore THE LAND OF THE DEAD. This massive new zone is
free to all players, and introduces a wealth of new challenges for
characters rank 25 and above, including a massive deadly, trap-laden
dungeon.
